Hands-Free Healthy Habit Maker

Designing a better world means creating a healthier one. But even in these riskier times, how easy is it for people to wash their hands for 20 seconds? How long is that? Who wants to sing a birthday song several times a day? So we came up with a timer to make it simple—for kids and maybe even their distracted adults. The goal was to turn handwashing into an enjoyable, achievable experience, not a chore, and to create good habits not dependent on outside instruction. 

Our touchless soap dispenser automatically delivers soap as the timer starts. The disappearing-disc graphic encourages continuous scrubbing as time elapses. Additionally, light-up icons direct users to wet their hands, wash for the approved 20 seconds, then rinse, while gratifying music serves to reinforce these steps.
