The CVAC System is engineered to effectively remove kidney stones through a combination of irrigation and vacuum aspiration during laser lithotripsy. We optimized the single-trigger control for both aspiration and irrigation, while maintaining traditional thumb-actuated steering controls. The stone collector is strategically positioned for easy visibility, allowing for confirmation of stone removal. A significant ergonomic challenge was addressed in designing a comfortable handle for all hand sizes, that accommodates a tightly clustered assembly of mechanical, electrical, and fluid systems.
